Creative Communication
Personally,

I'm a creative with a keen sense of organization. I love to harmonize beauty and functionality.

I guess you can say that I like "granny" activities such as crafting, cooking, thrifting, and listening to my tunes. A themed party gets me excited like no other and I eat popcorn all too regularly.
The past two years, I've lived abroad in Passau, Germany. Now, I say "auf wiedersehen" as I've moved back to my homeland, Minnesota. I have the honor of being married to my wonderful husband, Ross. Together, we share a vast collection of books and travel memories.

Recent
I worked for the North Dakota Council of Educational Leaders for nearly three years as their Communication and
Marketing Specialist.
Daily work included backend content management for the website, designing all visual content for the organization (conference programs, monthly newsletter, social media posts, marketing packets and brochures for potential partners, signage for conferences, business cards, etc.), marketing all NDCEL events, work alongside NDCEL business partners to promote their name amongst our members, and assisted during our our offered conferences to make the event run seamlessly.

I have finished my time with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) in Germany am eager be in the communication world full time. I managed our team Instagram account, marketed events, created monthly newsletters for our mission partners, and cultivated and maintained relationships with our donors.
Skills
Web Design
Creating a wonderfully navigable site that is both aesthetic and functional is what my dreams are made of.

I redesigned and did backend content management for the website of NDCEL (North Dakota Council of Educational Leaders) with Apptegy, a website building software. Our members were very busy people needing to get their resources and register for our conferences seamlessly and quickly. Reorganizing the content and simplifying their steps and our information in our re-design was a must.
I also created this website myself
with Wix!
Social Media Management
Telling stories and relating the mission and need of the organization in which I'm representing is a thrilling task.

I am interested in creating more reels than I have in the past and have worked with Hootsuite and Google Analytics.
Photography
Professionally, I have taken headshots of my team and photographed conferences. During university, I worked as a student photographer to capture life on campus and various events for social media and marketing purposes. Personally, I have done family sessions, headshots of friends, and worked on my own projects.

I am very proficient in Adobe Lightroom and have experience in Photoshop.
Branding
Having a strong brand communicates consistency, value, and professionalism. Everything I create is seen through the eyes of branding. I had the pleasure of creating the branding at my prior job, NDCEL.
Writing
I minored in English and have experience with writing articles and copy. I will gladly proofread and make changes to communicate with clarity and simplicity. I am versed in SEO integration as well.
Design
I love to design anything from programs to flyers. I am most comfortable and efficient on Canva Pro. I have a little experience with Adobe Indesign but I am willing to grow my skills.
